A New Brunswick, community-based, healthy lifestyle promotion to older adults. MORE
Activity and nutrition educational resources for elementary schools in Ontario. Children were encouraged to set goals for improving daily food and activity patterns. MORE
This site is designed to allow the visitor to learn about the role Canada’s ParticipACTION program played over three decades in improving the health and lifestyle of “the average Canadian”. The site is organized into the following five areas:
Motivate: Examples of ParticipACTION’s extensive television, radio and print campaigns, together with audio commentary from various leaders. More Educate: Resource materials targeted to specific demographic groups, like youth, older adults, workplace employees, etc. More Mobilize: Innovative community-based projects designed to encourage all citizens to “get started”. More Impact: Surveys, reports, essays and other information on the impact ParticipACTION had, not only on the health of Canadians, but the global health promotion community.
