Curator's noteThis wartime Coke ad associates the beverage with the heroic efforts of soldiers battling the Axis. The ad depicts Allied pilots involved in the Hump operation which transported much needed supplies across the Himalayas to the Chinese armies battling the Japanese. Here Coca-Cola is described as a well-known symbol of good will.
