Scope and contentFile contains a booklet titled Social organization of the Blackfoot Indians by Rev. John MacLean, published by Canadian Institute, Volume IV (Canadiana House, 1966). He describes the many separate groups of the Blackfoot, and includes his interpretation of the Aboriginal pronunciation of those names. They are commonly known as Bloods, Sarcee and Peigen. He also gives accounts of reserve populations and Government expenditures on Indians.
