Scope and content | This file contains a presentation by L.P. that recommends "a health lodge facility be made available for the use of native male recidivists, as well as an elders' council established in every Aboriginal community. This council would be better equipped to deal with issues like alcohol and drug abuse and broken families. The speaker feels that if this support was in the community, perhaps Aboriginal youth would receive the proper guidance and not become part of the criminal justice system. | |
