Scope and contentVolume 1 contain abstracts of Indian trade licenses issued by the government of the colony of Quebec between 1767-1772, as well as an introduction which includes a description and history of the licenses and returns, and of the control of the fur trade, 1767-1791. Included in the abstracts are place and date (some are undated), name of grantee, destination, number of canoes, names of canoemen, type, quantity and value of merchandise.
