Historical noteDr. A.B. Stewart acted as coroner for the Royal North West Mounted Police and had a medical practice at Rosthern, Saskatchewan in the late 1800s-early 1900s.
Scope and contentThe account books and ledgers of Dr. A.B. Stewart contain descriptions of diagnosis and treatment of patients, as well as charges and payments for individuals and organizations during visits to reserves in the Duck Lake, Carlton, Moose Woods, and Battleford agencies. There are entries for many Aboriginal patients living on reserves and in communities in the Duck Lake area.
