Historical note | An article in the August 1976 issue of Denosa magazine published by the Department of Northern Saskatchewan. | |
Scope and content | The two-page article describes a program developed by the DNS Academic Education Branch which is designed to make the study of history more relevant to northern students. Michael Tymchak developed a curriculum guide titled "Our Heritage: the People of Northern Saskatchewan" to be used in the program, and he and Lois Dalby developed the other materials in the kit including taped interviews with elders, games, and slide programs on traditional skills. | |
