Scope and content | This file contains a three volume report on the state of Indian education in Saskatchewan, and suggestions for improving it. The report was the product of a task force set up in 1970 by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians in consultation with Saskatchewan Indian Chiefs. The task force interviewed people on reserves across Saskatchewan, and suggested comprehensive changes to Indian education programs. The Treaty right to education and more meaningful cultural education were two significant areas addressed. | |
