Scope and contentFile contains a photocopy of Jim Frideres' article "Urban Indians," taken from his book, Canada's Indians: Contemporary Conflicts. Published Scarborough, Ont.: Prentice-Hall of Canada, c1974. Studies at the time show a drastic increase in Indian migration to large centres. However, governments have yet to acknowledge the challenges, resulting in many social problems for these migrants.
