Scope and contentTwo volumes of The Report of the Manitoba Metis Senate Commission on National Unity and Constitutional Reform, July 1991 and November 1991. The commission report was prepared by four senators, elders that represent the Manitoba Metis. In round one hey argue for such things as self-government, a land base under Metis control and the need to elect a Metis to the Canadian parliament. In round two they focus on specific rights of Metis, for example hunting and fishing, and develop a working definition of a Metis land base and self-government.
