Scope and content | Book order forms for Don McLean's book which re-examines MacDonald's National Policy and its impact on the Métis of Western Canada at the time of the 1885 Resistance. He provides evidence to show that the Canadian government may have conspired to force the Métis to rebellion in order to save the CPR and the land settlement companies from bankruptcy. McLean believes that the Hudson's Bay Company and the CPR contributed to the conflict. | |
