Scope and content | This file contains a 56 page paper titled "The History of Saskatoon Metis Society, Local 11," by Rita Schilling in 1978. It contains historical interpretations of Metis culture and a list of the first Metis families to settle in the Saskatoon area, as remembered by some "old timers." There is also a list of those buried in a local Metis cemetery. There are some great stories of the old days and recent achievements of the Metis in Saskatoon (circa 1970s). | |
