Scope and contentFile contains a presentation by MA. MA discusses how her people first heard about the High Arctic Relocation from the RCMP, and what life was like prior to this. In response to questioning from the facilitator MA claims that they recieved a letter in her community from the first wave of relocatees in 1954, prior to them relocating in 1955. MA states that the letter said the people in the High Arctic were homesick, and that the darkness was unpleasant, but that they had been requested by the government to convince the second wave to come north.
