Scope and content | File contains a presentation by LA. LA discusses how her people were promised abundant game during the High Arctic Relocation but experienced great hardships and difficulties adjusting a life unlike the one they had in northern Quebec. LA discusses scrounging at the garbage dump for food while not wishing to be seen by the RCMP, difficulties obtaining drinking water, and alleges the RCMP prevented her mother from gathering firewood to hear their home. LA then discusses the difficulties experienced reintigrating into a changed community at Inukjuak in Northern Quebec upon her return. | |
