Scope and contentFolder contains newspaper clippings relating to trade with Indigenous persons near Moose Jaw in 1884, Indigenous weddings,agriculture, and the death of Chief Whitecap. Also included is a record from the public archives of Canada relating to Indian Affairs, 3 negatives of black and white photographs of Indigenous persons, a list of indian affairs records available on microfilm at the Public Archives of Canada, letters from Silversides requesting information about Chief Whitecap, various photocopies of older documents relating to Chief Whitecap,maps of Whitecap's Moose Wood Reserve, and a collection of articles entitled "White Cap's Sioux Become Good Neighbors", "Reports of Superintendents and Agents: Department of Indian Affairs"(which describes conditions at an all girls boarding school), "Indians at Dundurn 'Immigrants'; Came to Canada During U.S. Wars", and "Queen vs. Whitecap" (which concerns his arrest and trial)
