Historical noteRevue Historique is the journal of the Societe Historique de la Saskatchewan.
Scope and contentFour Issues of Revue Historique from March 2005 to December 2005. Articles of interest in the June edition includes a short piece by editor Laurier Gareau, discussing his relation to Gabriel Dumont and Mrs. Onesime Dorval of Batoche. Also includes a short article on Mrs. Onesime Dorval of Batoche being the first certified teacher in Saskatchewan. Another section describes the issuing of an award to the Metis Laurier Gareau for his monologue entitled "La danse des Metis" at Batoche. In the September edition there is a piece on the Beliveau brothers and their ranch at Paradise Hill, which discusses the uprising of 1885 in the area. There are also some letters from people describing a visit to the Batoche and Bellevue area, and a burial at Willow Bunch. Also included is an invitation to a conference on "Identity strategies of Francophones and of the Metis in the Canadian West" to be held in Regina from the 20-23 of October including a list of speakers and their presentations. The December issue includes an article discussing a Francophone youth rally at St. Laurent and Batoche in 1979.
