Scope and contentFile contains a two page list of early settlements in Western Canada (in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta) from the 1600s to the end of the nineteenth century. For example reads: "PRINCE ALBERT: Sturgeon Fort 1776 (on Peter Pond Site); Isbister's Settlement 1862, Prince Albert Settlement 1866 (Nisbet Presbyterian Mission); Town, August 22, 1885; City, 1904." The list goes on and includes numerous small locales and larger centres such as Edmonton, Alberta.
