Scope and contentFrom introduction: "Treaty Eight was signed by the people of the Great Slave Lake area on July 25, 1900. In the following story the reader can perhaps gain insight into the reactions of the peoples directly affected by Treaty Eight. This is a first person account of an individual who was present at the Fifth Treaty Day in Fort Resolution in 1905.
