Scope and content | File contains a typed manuscript of Charles Abbey's reminiscences titled "An Englishman's Adventures in the Northern Forests of Canada." Abbey describes many hardships as he explored, hunted, fished, trapped and traded for furs north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan between 1903 and 1909. He has several encounters with Aboriginal and Metis people in the area, some positive, some not so congenial. It is an interesting story of a driven, stubborn man living through many self-induced hardships. | |
