Scope and content | This book looks at the lives of Metis women in Northern Saskatchewan in the mid 1980s and the issues that are important to them. These issues include culture, resource development, employment, religion, generational changes, marriage, sex, food, housing, alcoholism, drug problems, education, social development, children, political involvement, and how they are portrayed in the media. The book was developed from 96 interviews with 83 Metis women in seven different Northern communities. | |
