Scope and contentThis file contains original and photocopied newspaper articles relating to people and events during the Northwest Resistance and the settlement of Prince Albert. There are numerous articles relating to the Prince Albert Special Volunteer force members who were killed at the Battle of Duck Lake on 26 March 1885. Also included are articles on witnesses to the Northwest Resistance and a typed manuscript of a poem titled Northwest Rebellion / No 2. March 19th, ’85. One article is in French.
