Scope and content | A photocopy of Dick's article "Renegade of the Archives: Peter C. Newman and the Writing of Canadian Popular History." Taken from Archivaria 22 (Summer 1986): 168-181. It is a review of Newman's book Company of Adventurers. He brings into question Newman's limited use of archives in writing fictionalized popular history. Newman himself admits he wished to stir Nationalism within students with his book. Dick repeatedly derides Newman in this scathing and humorous review. | |
