| Scope and content | RCAP55 is a file containing a transcript from a Special Consultation held by the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples on October 29, 1992. This sitting of the Commission, held in an Anicinabe community, dealt with the legacy of Residential Schools and had numerous community members (school survivors and others), Aboriginal politicians, Church representatives, and Commissioners in attendance. The conversation that took place involves the intergenerational detrimental effects of residential schooling on Aboriginal society brought about by suppression of culture, and abuse. | |
