Scope and content | File contains a presentation by David Martin and read by Doris Saunders. It focuses on mobility rights of Aboriginal peoples. Martin believes that Aboriginal councils and associations need a regular turnover of membership because some individuals who are elected multiple times "become autocratic and go on a power trip and the whole council suffers because of it." Martin also believes that "any Aboriginal person living outside a claim area or areas and working for the benefit of Aboriginal people should have the same rights, services and privileges that are applicable to the residents of the claim area that they associate with." Following the presentation is a question-and-answer session with the Commissioners. | |
