Scope and content | Four Aboriginal men on horseback preparing to race at the Cannington Manor track. The photographer has written on the back: "The Indian Pony race was a great event at the Cannington Races - a definite sporting event in the western calendar. The big English houses put up the guests. During the year racing ponies up the village street was a mail day pastime." | |
