Indian Nations (FSIN)publication "Suicides, Violent and Accidental Deaths Among Treaty Indians in Saskatchewan: Analysis and Recommendations for Change." The report was produced by Health & Social Development Commission. It is a comprehensive report that was 3 years in the making and was preceded by two other human research studies. The final report in this file consulted 44 elders and 218 Indian leaders in 7 separate districts in Sask., and synthesized this input with the research data. The focus was youth suicide. After an overview of the research and a literature review it proposes strategies and solutions to the problems. | |
