Scope and contentFile contains a photocopy of W. Reeves' and Jim Frideres' article "Government Policy and Indian Urbanization," taken from Canadian Public Policy VII:4:584-595, Autumn 1981. There is also a letter from Jim to F. L. Barron thanking him for sharing his concept of "micro urban." They argue that the Alberta government has ignored the increasing level of urbanization of Native people. Poor accommodation of Natives into urban social organizations has resulted in few Natives entering mainstream urban life.
