Scope and contentFile contains a photocopy of Dobbin's review titled "Thomas Flanagan's Riel: An Unfortunate Obsession." and Thomas Flanagan's response titled "The Man Who Couldn't Quote Straight." Dobbin claims Flanagan has a personal agenda to vilify Riel, and his book ignores reams of historical evidence to do so. Flanagan claims Dobbin has misquoted him in almost every citation, and furthermore taken Flanagan's arguments out of their proper context. Each accuses the other of having a political agenda.
