Scope and contentThis file contains materials relating to the Prince Albert Volunteer Force that suffered heavy losses at the Battle of Duck Lake on 26 March 1885. Included are numerous original and photocopied newspaper and magazine articles relating to Duck Lake. Included are several pages of the 26 March 1910 issue of the Winnipeg Free Press containing the article titled Crozier’s Fight With the Rebels at Duck Lake, detailing the Battle of Duck Lake. Also included is a Public Archives Canada finding aid from 1987 for the Prince Albert Volunteers and the surgeons attached to the North West Mounted Police.
