Scope and contentThis file contains materials relating to the fur trade on the Saskatchewan River in the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan area. Includes two typed manuscripts of a radio talk on CKBI in Prince Albert by R. Mayson in September 1953 relating to daily life and customs of fur traders and hunters. Also includes a letter from Arthur S. Morton and an account of the search of a trading post near the mouth of Sturgeon River (Peter Pond’s Fort), Saskatchewan. Included is a series of 10 original and photocopied articles written by William Boschman relating to the history of the Saskatchewan River system; the series was published by the Prince Albert Daily Herald in 1981.
