Scope and contentFile contains a photocopy of A. Irving Hallowell's article, "Impact of the American Indian on American Culture," taken from the American Anthropologist, vol. 59. Published by American Anthropological Assoc., c1957. Hallowell was curious about the affects the "primitive" cultures had on Europeans after they had "discovered" the New World. He notes that anthropology up to 1957 had mainly studied how "primitive" cultures have changed, not the other way around. Certainly an interesting source on attitudes of academics towards Aboriginal subjects.
