Included amongst the uprising papers are several lists of participants from the Prince Albert area, including members of the Prince Albert Home Guard (entrusted with defending the settlement and stockade), the Prince Albert Volunteers (who served and bore the brunt of the fighting at Duck Lake), and the North West Mounted Police stationed at Prince Albert. Includes lists of casualties from the Battle of Duck Lake. File also includes correspondence regarding the organization of a reunion for 1885 veterans, and copies of a hand written statement by Mr. Moses Bremner, a Metis soldier who fought for Dumont's forces at Fish Creek recounting his experience of the battle there, the Battle of Batoche, and its aftermath. File also includes a handwritten copy of "the story of the North West Rebellion as told by Mrs. Andrew Goodfellow, Mrs. M.C. Davis, and Mrs. J.M. Coombes" early Prince Albert settlers. File also contains a handwritten declaration by early Prince Albert settler Charles Morton who discusses the uprising of 1885. File also includes an excerpt from Major General Middleton's report on the Battle of Batoche. File also includes an excerpt from the Toronto Globe desribing the system of rifle pits designed to defend Batoche during the uprising.
