Scope and contentFile contains a presentation by Maffat Makuto, who is also speaking on behalf of the Regional Multicultural Youth Council, an organization affiliated with the Multicultural Association. Makuto speaks of the indifference shown by Aboriginal high school principals in northern Ontario when given the opportunity to use relevant and educational videos provided for free by his Association. Eventually the Youth Council lobbied to have them shown in the classroom. He calls on the Commission to have culturally-aware Aboriginals trained as teachers so that the youth will have an opportunity to learn about their culture. Following the presentation is a question-and-answer session with the Commissioners.
