Scope and content | This file contains a presentation by Katherine Bransfield relating to self-government and Aboriginal women. Gignoo Transition House recently opened in Fredericton, New Brunswick and its role is to provide shelter, food, love and support, education, counselling and play as an advocacy for women and children fleeing from abuse. As this house has been very successful in helping women and children, Bransfield calls for another house to be built in north-central New Brunswick. Her organization will be presenting a brief to the Commission in September 1993. A question-and-answer session with the Commissioners. | |
