Scope and content | An image of interior of Arthur Rose Dry Cleaners, located at 624 20th Street West and 123 2nd Avenue South in 1913. Men and women at work ironing and sewing. The owner Arthur Rose is the man standing near door. From caption sheet: “Workers at their labours in the Arthur Rose dry cleaning business, ca. 1915. The company was established in March of that year by Arthur Rose and his wife Elsie. Their first location was at 624 20th Street East, and another facility was opened the same year at 123 2nd Avenue South. The company moved to 334 2nd Avenue North in 1919. The company was known for its slogan 'If Rose cleaned it, it’s C-L-E-A-N'". |
