Leaders — J.B. Musselman:

JB Musselman was born in 1871 and died in 1955. From 1914 to 1922, he served as Secretary of the SGGA, a position from which his opponents felt he neglected the democratic process. After his replacement by AJ McPhail, Mr. Mussellman became the managing director of the Saskatchewan Co-operative Elevator Company, where he remained until 1924. The domination of the SCECo by its politically-connected leadership led in part to the formation of a more radical farmer organization, the Farmers’ Union of Canada, and to the strict democratic structure of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool.
