Historical Note: This is one of three photographs
recently discovered by a City of Regina Archives researcher, David
Loewen, in a file from the Public Works & Engineering series,
COR 16. Until recently, it was thought that only one picture of the
empty lakebed existed (CORA-A-535). The photographs were stuck to
the back of a sheet of paper and had gone unnoticed for many years.
