Historical Note:
The Masons are an international fraternal organization, originally founded by stonemasons and other craftsmen. It is the oldest, largest and best-known fraternal organization in the world. The first Masonic Temple in Regina was at a location along 11 th Avenue in 1906. The Masons soon outgrew the building, however, and a new building was built in 1926 on the site where the YMCA stood until it was destroyed during the cyclone of 1912. The new building, located at 1930 Lorne Street , was designed by Portnall and Reilly.
