Historical Note: The oldest buildings in Regina 's downtown area date back only to 1912, when the Regina cyclone ripped through the city, saving the worst of its wrath for the downtown business core. Regina 's oldest building, the RCMP chapel, was located in the west end of the city - the side of the city that was spared from any damage during the 1912 storm.
