Curator's note |
The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool took over the ownership and operation of the progressive farm magazine The Western Producer, when the paper encountered financial difficulties in the early 1930s. The printing division, Modern Press, produced the newspaper, undertook commercial printing contracts, and launched Western Producer Prairie Books, a publishing company devoted to the production of books of regional interest. |
