Curator's note | In the 1930s commercial fish processing plants were established in several Northern Saskatchewan communities, including La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and Big River to prepare whitefish, pike, walleye and lake trout. By the mid 1960s more than 6 million kg of fish were being processed. |
